DOES NOT THINK RONALDO WILL BE PUNISHED

They could be interpreted as claiming that his side were being robbed. The 'Azulgrana' can understand the Real player's reaction.

"It was in the heat of the moment. That's the way he is and sometimes he expresses himself and reacts like that. It's not the first time he's made that gesture. He's never been punished for it before and I don't think he will be now. It's not my problem anyway", said Piqué during a charity event where he acted as the ambassador for the Laureus Foundation together with Álex Corretja at the Institut Guttmann.

The player was optimistic with respect to the future in light of the way his team are playing at the moment. "We're on good form. The team are in great physical shape, as we've shown in recent games. As for our play, some days are better than others, but we're getting the results. At this stage of the season the important thing is winning."

He is not taking any comfort from the fact that PSG's squad will be weakened in the first leg of the tie against the French team: "We are two teams who know each other well and respect each other. I think the two games will be similar to the ones we played in the group stage. It's true that they have players out, but it's always tough playing in Paris. We have to go out and play our game, create chances through possession, although it's also true that we play more direct football now."

Barcelona have a tough schedule ahead of them, both in La Liga and the Champions League. "I've always said that April was going to be an extremely difficult month. The important thing is to finish it the way we've started. By that I mean still being in the Champions League and top of La Liga. It's going to be hard and I don't think anyone is going to win all of their points in the league. We saw last year that points get dropped in the final games."
