STARTING FOR THE FIRST TIME SINCE HIS INJURY

It has taken Carlo Ancelotti 120 days to decide to give the youngster starter status. 24 games have come and gone, in which he has played in 17 of them, but only getting a total of 377 minutes.

Against Eibar, out on the right wing, exactly the opposite side to where he likes to shine, Jesé will be out to show his manager that he is the same spectacular player that wowed the Real faithful every week until his knee gave out on him.

With Ancelotti giving him playing time drop by drop, it hasn't been easy for Jesé since his recovery. When he has played, it has often been in extremely adverse conditions – going on with the score against them and just a few minutes left on the clock. In the only game that he was given enough time to settle in and strut his stuff, against Sevilla when he was given an hour, he scored and put in a formidable performance.

Ancelotti and co. are careful to show the young player that he is a loved and appreciated member of the group. The Italian manager is sure that Jesé is bound for great things at the club, and has told him so on many occasions. The match against Eibar could be his first step in making his comeback.
